PLATFORM CREATED TO SUPPORT, PROMOTE
AND PUBLICISE CONTEMPORARY VISUAL ARTISTS
Open Studio is a platform created to support, promote and publicise primarily Spanish contemporary visual artists, most of them young and mid-career, but also including foreign artists working in our country or invited by our artists.
Open Studio is a private initiative of Open Mind Arte y Cultura, a non-profit association that promotes the growth of the creative network, supplements the culture and art events on offer and contributes to the industry’s financial development.
During the year, Open Studio promotes and publicises artists through a variety of events – including the festival of contemporary visual artists, the CAM training programme, the Banco Santander Foundation Award for Artistic Production and ArteLateral – Open Studio – as well as on our website and social media.
Open Studio aims to give free access to contemporary art to all the city’s residents, provide art training and education for new audiences, create and maintain the art of collecting, and promote the international growth of Spanish art.
